Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of payroll and benefits experience and at least 5 years managing a team
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred but not required)
- Proven people leader with deep experience managing international, multi-country payroll
- Strong experience across both in-house and outsourced payroll models
- Demonstrated expertise in payroll and benefits compliance, controls, audit readiness, and risk mitigation
- Experience supporting unionized employee groups (U.S. and Mexico exposure preferred)
- Comfortable operating in a matrixed, global organization
- Systems-savvy (Workday or similar HRIS; strong reporting skills)
- Fluent in English;
Spanish is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, develop, and resource in-house and outsourced payroll operations across the Americas region
- Oversee U.S. and Canada benefits administration, ensuring compliance, governance, and operational excellence
- Manage a team of Payroll, Time, and Benefits Specialists, as well as third-party payroll and HR vendors
- Ensure payroll and benefits compliance with local regulations, maintaining audit readiness and minimizing risk
- Partner with global and regional stakeholders on payroll and benefits projects, process improvements, and system rollouts
- Support operational needs including expatriate payroll, reward programs, audits, and interactions with regulatory authorities
- Contribute to business initiatives such as M&A activity, international expansion, and organizational change
