SummaryThis role will be based in Matteson, IL and act as a Technical and Operational Liaison between LGEUS PRI Organization and its customer companies (e.g., LG Energy Solution), LGEUS HQ and LGE PRI HQ at the US PRI's project site. The Field Technical Manager will manage information flow for escalated service cases, oversee sensitive proprietary information, facilitate knowledge transfer sessions, and provide relevant training.
The position includes attending factory visits, supporting customer companies via phone, email, and onsite visits, testing and verifying system solutions for all LG PRI equipment and controls, and leading day‑to‑day field operations of Aftermarket Field Technical Specialists. The manager also coordinates technical knowledge sharing to facilitate timely resolution of field related issues.
- Operation and management of the PRI's project site, including equipment set-up and production, customer service, safety management, and general affairs.
- Manage day‑to‑day activities of PRI's customer companies.
- Utilize metrics to analyze, develop, and implement process improvements.
- Share expert LGEUS/HQ technical knowledge to resolve field issues and implement field processes and procedures.
- Provide professional technical development for all field technical specialists.
- Act as a technical liaison between LGEUS PRI Organization and its customer companies.
- Manage information flow and conduct knowledge transfer sessions.
- Maintain up‑to‑date functional and technical knowledge of LGEUS PRI machines and parts for electric vehicles.
- Perform testing and evaluation of equipment and controls, documenting findings.
- Coordinate with the Technical Writing team to ensure consistency and clarity of documentation.
- Accompany customer companies' factory engineers during field visits to resolve escalated technical issues.
- Communicate directly with production departments to coordinate preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Analyze daily production data and prepare reports.
- Maintain records of all preventive maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.
- Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in automation, technical support, site management, or related fields.
- Bilingual in English and Korean.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with diverse client groups.
- Ability to troubleshoot service issues via phone and onsite, read and interpret technical documents, and write reports.
- Strong analytical, planning, and decision‑making skills.
- Proficient computer skills, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Self‑starter who can work independently and in a team, and handle multiple tasks.
- Well‑developed problem‑solving skills and ability to produce clear, timely documentation.
$90,000 – $130,000 USD
