Reporting to the GM & Salesforce Global Head of Private Equity & Venture Capital Practice, you will be responsible for building and driving engagements with Salesforce's strategic Private Equity (PE) Partners. Salesforce's PE Practice works with PE Firm Operating Partners to accelerate value creation in their portfolio companies through digital transformation, especially around AI as a key lever, leveraging the Salesforce platform, Agentforce/Data
360 and the broader ecosystem. You will serve as a single point of contact for patching PE Partners into Salesforce. The global nature of Private Equity means Firms' Operating Partners are located in AMER, with portfolio companies and OU Distribution teams outside AMER that you and Relationship Managers will interface with. You will build and manage these PE firm relationships, commercially negotiate on behalf of the portfolio, ensure governance, and supervise Relationship Managers working with Tech SWAT partners to be trusted Digital and AI Advisors, monitoring Salesforce success of PE portfolio companies.
As a Senior Director, you will originate new opportunities and influence sales cycles through a value-selling approach that considers transformation needs per portfolio company. You will proactively propose Value Creation opportunities across the portfolio and curate the "Best of Salesforce" through Tech SWAT, account teams, and industry experts, and train/coach/advise account teams and ecosystem partners on selling to private equity owned companies.
You will contribute to growth marketing, develop thought leadership content and innovation programs to raise Salesforce's profile in the Private Equity industry.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic Private Equity Partners, acting as the Single Point of Contact into Salesforce for your patch of PE firms
- Act as an advocate and be a trusted digital advisor for the partnership within the Private Equity firm and at Salesforce
- Leverage your experience in guiding executive teams toward transformation and help AI technical Operating Partners and non-technical OPs understand how technology can impact their world
- Build a high-energy team that embodies Salesforce values and works across Salesforce
- Build strong relationships across key Salesforce organizations (Distribution, Customer Success, Fin Ops)
- Build strong relationships with the Tech SWAT Team; collaborate to generate incremental pipeline and bring it to Account Teams
- Support Private Equity Partners in due diligence to develop growth strategies for carve-outs and new acquisitions
- Post-announcement, work with the portfolio company to rethink business and operating model opportunities and align Salesforce capabilities
- Develop proactive programs bringing Portcos together with PE Firms and multiple Sales Teams to orchestrate and leverage the AI mandate within PE today
