Purpose

As a Technical Quality Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products and services. You will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of quality control systems, processes, and standards within the organization. Your technical expertise and leadership skills will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement, reducing defects, and enhancing customer satisfaction.

You will also focus on improving Organization Quality Image by promoting the value of teams; selecting, training, guiding, and monitoring team members; managing team projects; promoting the value of suggestions; soliciting, evaluating, and implementing improvements; collecting, maintaining, and interpreting quality performance data; tracking process improvements; directing employee opinion surveys; directing staff.

Description

In this role, you will manage the quality functions of the organization, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.

Key Result Areas (Responsibilities)
  • Assures individual project accomplishments and overall work unit effectiveness are achieved relative to committed objectives.
  • Provides technical and administrative evaluation of work unit's goals, development, and performance.
  • Develops and implements budget proposals, and equipment requirements consistent with anticipated workloads.
  • Directly supervises employees and performs other managerial responsibilities, including interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching; career development; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Provides leadership for staff development and holds them accountable to meet personal and business objectives.
  • Creates vision and strategy and leads work unit to achieve optimum quality assurance systems and processes for products produced internally and/or procured from suppliers.
  • Participates in activities to develop technical or administrative quality solutions to customers' expectations.
  • Supports the maintenance of ISO 9001 certification.
  • Responds to customer complaints following 8D methodology.
  • Performs data analysis to improve products and processes utilizing statistical analysis techniques, Lean manufacturing methodologies, and Six Sigma.
  • Participates in and leads Lean manufacturing driven projects.
  • Maintains and updates all aspects of the quality management system.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a Science discipline from an accredited institution.
  • 7+ years’ experience in an Engineering role, and/or management of technical personnel, and/or other related technical activities.
Experience
  • Proven experience in quality management, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of product or service specifications.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • In‑depth knowledge of quality control methods and tools.
  • Familiarity with relevant quality management standards and regulations.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and data‑driven decision‑making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and a fast‑paced environment.
