The Village of Roselle, Illinois (population 22,897), is looking for a full-time Public Works Manager in the Wastewater Division to join our forward‑thinking Public Works Department. This position is responsible for overseeing the Wastewater Division and providing administrative and general management assistance to the Director of Public Works and the Assistant Director of Public Works.
What You’ll Do- Strategic Leadership:
Contribute to budget development, collective bargaining, and the execution of the Village’s Strategic Plan. - Cross‑Department Coordination:
Act as a liaison between departments, external agencies, and work groups, ensuring smooth operations. - Community Engagement:
Address resident inquiries and represent the Village at various forums. - Project Management:
Lead capital improvement initiatives, manage contracts, and oversee major construction and maintenance projects. - Operational Excellence:
Supervise the Wastewater Division team, compliance with regulatory reporting and requirements, safety compliance, training, and staff management while driving innovation. - Possession of a Class 1 Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators Certificate or receipt of one within twelve (12) months with a minimum of a Class II Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators Certificate at the time of application.
- A degree in business, public administration, construction management, civil engineering, or a related field (associate or bachelor’s level).
- 10 years of progressive experience in Public Works or a similar field (or a combination of education and experience) and minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience.

This role comes with a competitive salary range of $102,247 - $143,147
. The starting salary will be based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
