Maintenance Supervisor

Northcentral, Indiana (relocation allowance provided)

Seeking a hands‑on Maintenance Supervisor to lead 2nd shift operations in a food processing environment. This role oversees preventative and corrective maintenance, supports production, and drives uptime, safety, and team performance. The supervisor leads maintenance technicians, ensures daily PM targets are met, and minimizes equipment downtime through strong leadership and technical expertise.

• Lead and supervise maintenance team members during 2nd shift operations
• Assign daily work, conduct shift roll call, and reinforce safety standards
• Oversee preventative maintenance (PM) completion, audit work quality, and ensure follow‑up
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and support rapid troubleshooting
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis and document downtime issues
• Develop work lists, confirm parts availability, and coordinate weekend/on‑call work
• Coach team members on safety, quality, efficiency, and cost improvements
• Complete performance evaluations and identify training needs
• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, USDA, PPE, and lockout procedures

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years leadership experience in a processing or manufacturing environment (10+ direct reports preferred)
• 5+ years maintenance technician experience with processing equipment and electrical systems
• Knowledge of USDA and HACCP standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
• Ability to work in hot, cold, wet, humid, and loud environments around raw meat
• Flexible to work overtime, weekends, and on‑call as needed
