The Filler Operator is responsible for the filling and packing of products according to the work order specifications while following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety procedures. Individuals must maintain a safe and pleasant working environment while ensuring the department completes as many work orders per day as possible, with maximum safety, quality, and accuracy.

• Learn, practice, and adhere to all processing, change‑over, clean‑up, and sanitation procedures related to equipment and machines in the department.
• Operate filler machines and associated equipment safely and efficiently to meet work order instructions.
• Process work orders efficiently and accurately according to the daily production schedule.
• Perform sterilization and manual washing of machine components, including CIP and SIP.
• Monitor and maintain product quality and process performance, making required operating adjustments.
• Perform regular quality testing.
• Assist with minor repair and maintenance of machines.
• Document product details for filler and capper machines, including weights, teardowns, cap application, downtime recording, and sanitation logs.
• Conduct fill volume and weight checks and adjust as necessary.
• Observe carton entry to detect damaged or defective cartons that could jam the machine; remove defective cartons when needed.
• Maintain supply of caps and cases to the machine to ensure continuous operation.
• Verify proper application and sealing of caps and cases, including inspection of cap glue patterns and case integrity.
• Follow aseptic manufacturing steps and process flow.
• Complete assigned cleaning tasks per the master cleaning schedule.
• Collaborate with the Quality team to achieve food safety and quality standards.
• Understand all part numbers, lot numbers, and product descriptions related to the work order.
• React to unsafe acts or conditions by making them safe or reporting them immediately.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing concepts to improve efficiency and eliminate waste.
• Maintain all required logs and paperwork accurately.
• Keep a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
• Perform tasks while wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times and ensure reliable attendance.
• Perform tasks in other areas as needed and other duties as assigned.
