The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, continuously evaluating each patient’s condition. Responsibilities include ensuring patient safety, comfort, and privacy; assisting physicians in procedure rooms with tasks such as conscious sedation and sterile techniques; and delivering comprehensive care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation – from assessment and planning to implementation and evaluation, and preparing patients and families for discharge.

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in IL
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient and unit needs
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written

$40.00 – $43.00 per hour
