Position: Outpatient Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) (PMHNP)
JOIN OUR TEAM AS AN OUTPATIENT NURSE PRACTITIONER (PMHNP) (FULL-TIME) (100% Company Paid Medical Insurance Up to Family Coverage!)This position requires coverage across two locations. Your primary worksite will be Silver Oaks Behavioral Hospital. In addition, you will be expected to work onsite at Little Company of Mary Hospital at least one day per week.

As an Outpatient NP at our hospital, you will work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive psychiatric care to our patients. You will coordinate decision-making with the psychiatrist, perform clinical assessments, and develop treatment plans. Our team includes psychiatrists, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, mental health technicians, social workers, therapists, and educators. We are looking for someone who can establish empathy and a person-centered approach to patients, recognize their own limitations, and respond to difficult situations with skill and professionalism.

Nurse Practitioners are responsible for:

Conducting follow-up visits after initial assessments.

Participating in weekly staffing and family sessions.

Prescribing pharmacologic interventions as necessary.

Reviewing laboratory and diagnostic test results.

Consulting with attending psychiatrists and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to perform clinical assessments, adhering to psychiatric and medical nursing procedures.

Communicating with patients, families, and others to obtain required information.

Your Experience Matters

What we’re looking for:

Education & Licensure:
Completion of a Master’s Program (Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner) from an accredited nursing school. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in the State of Illinois.

Experience:

Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience in a psychiatric setting.
