The CVICU/CVSD Nurse Educator supports high‑quality patient care across the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) and the Cardiovascular Step‑Down (CVSD) unit by educating and mentoring nursing staff. The Educator position is based on the needs of the patient and healthcare system. Facilitates quality activities based on identified needs to enhance excellence in clinical practice. Prioritizes these activities in accordance with patient, staff and organizational goals and objectives.

Maintains standards of professional nursing. The scope of practice encompasses the use of the nursing process in major areas: practice, education, consultation and administration.

• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.
• Master's degree required.
• 3 – 5 years of experience in Cardiac Critical Care.
• Exhibits personal characteristics that enhance the effectiveness of the role, including effective interpersonal communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
• Active BLS through AHA required.

The expected pay for this position is listed below: $35.00 - $42.50.

The final pay rate offered may be more than the posted range based on several factors including but not limited to: licensure, certifications, work experience, education, knowledge, demonstrated abilities, internal equity, market data, and more.
