Shift Supervisor

Summary:

Responsible for supporting the nurse manager in administrative duties of the unit, especially during off shifts. The Shift Supervisor will provide leadership by collaborating with members of the healthcare team to maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Able to provide patient care when needed, remains competent in clinical skills.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and support to the nurse manager during off shifts.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain standards for professional nursing practice.
• Provide patient care when necessary and maintain clinical competence.

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Illinois.
• BSN degree.
• CPR certification.
• Clinical knowledge and skills with medical/surgical patients.
• Prior supervisory experience strongly desired.
• Effective interpersonal communication skills and proactive problem‑solving.

Work Shift Details:
Days – 12 hours, every other weekend.

Department: 6-1 MED‑SURG IP NURSING.
