Clinical Educator - NICU

Position Summary

The NICU Nurse Educator is a registered professional nurse who demonstrates expertise in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit nursing. The role facilitates quality activities to enhance clinical practice, prioritizes them in accordance with patient, staff, and organizational goals, and maintains professional nursing standards. The scope of practice encompasses the nursing process in practice, education, consultation, and administration.

Facilitate quality improvement activities based on identified needs within the NICU, support staff education and training, consult on nursing practices, and administer programs that align with organizational objectives.

• Registered Nurse license in the State of Illinois
• Master’s degree required
• 3–5 years of experience in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
• Proactive problem‑solving and effective interpersonal communication skills
• BLS certification through AHA required; PALS and NRP preferred

Days – First Shift; flexibility with shifts to meet department needs.
