Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery (L&D) – Nights

New Lenox, IL | Acute Care

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite

• Provide direct nursing care to women during labor and childbirth, monitoring both mother and baby throughout the process
• Coach and support mothers and their families through the stages of labor and delivery
• Assist physicians during deliveries, including C-sections, and serve in circulator/recovery roles as needed
• Perform and interpret fetal monitoring; administer and manage IV Magnesium and IV Pitocin per protocol
• Support postpartum patients with breastfeeding education and newborn care
• Care for patients in a high-volume birthing environment averaging 200 births per month, adhering to patient ratios of 2:1 during labor and 1:1 during delivery or C-section

• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
• Active Illinois RN License at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• ACLS certification required

• Prior travel nursing experience
• Experience with Level 2 Newborn Nursery or care of premature, low-birth-weight, or ventilator-dependent infants
• Familiarity with high-volume birthing center environments

• Work in a modern, purpose-built birthing center featuring private labor, delivery, and recovery suites designed to support both patients and clinical staff
