Receptionist - State Farm Agent Team Member

Full Time in Macomb, IL

As a member of our agency team, you have an opportunity to experience first-hand what it takes to be a State Farm Agent. You will build and develop customer relationships within the community to promote State Farm products including auto, home, and life insurance.

This position will allow you to explore the opportunity to become a State Farm agent yourself.

• Establish customer relationships and follow up with customers, as needed.
• Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service. This includes responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverages, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions, and billing clarification.
• Maintain a strong work ethic with a commitment to success each day.

• Draw plus commission

• Sales experience (outside sales, inside sales, retail, or telemarketing) preferred
• Interest in marketing products and services based on customer needs
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal, listening)
• Enthusiasm about insurance and financial products helping people manage risks, recover, and achieve their dreams
• People-oriented, organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented, proactive in problem-solving, dedicated to customer service
• Experience with computer applications, particularly Windows
• Ability to work in a team and multi-task effectively
• Ability to provide timely activity reports to the agent
• Ability to relate effectively to customers
• Property and Casualty license (must be able to obtain)

This position is with a State Farm independent contractor agent, not directly with State Farm Insurance Companies. Employees of State Farm agents must complete licensing requirements and training. Compensation: $30,000 - $50,000
