Regional Sales Manager

PI Ag sciences, a subsidiary of PI Industries, is a technology leader in the area of agricultural biologicals.

The Regional Sales Manager for our Illinois and Wisconsin region is responsible for working closely with select distributors to execute PI Ag Sciences business plan as outlined by Management, as well as seeking additional opportunities with distributors for additional sales of the PI Ag Sciences product line.

• Work with Distributors to develop Regional Plans to sell PI Ag Sciences products
• Provide Distributors with Sales information, technical support, and firsthand expertise to sell PI Ag Sciences products to Growers
• Design side‑by‑side grower trials to help distributors sell PI Ag Sciences products
• Identify opportunities for additional PI Ag Sciences product sales on new crops and new distributor partners
• Work closely with technical sales to evaluate additional ideas and opportunities for PI Ag Sciences product sales
• Work closely with the technical sales team for additional data collection on proof of concept and new sales opportunities that have been identified
• Work with key influencers to help bring awareness and drive PI Ag Sciences products
• Attend Regional trade shows and regional meetings to help get the PI Ag Sciences information into growers' and retailers’ hands
• Use key contacts to drive PI Ag Sciences sales within the region

A Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture production or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in field development activities is required.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Contact Management systems;
Internet software;
Project Management software;
Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
