Maintenance Technician
Location: Arcola, IL 61910
Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Arcola, IL for our weekend crew. The ideal candidate will have experience working with AC/DC motors, diagnosing and repairing equipment, and performing PLC repairs. A strong commitment to safe work practices is essential to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment, including AC/DC motors.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and safe work practices to maintain a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with team members and management to identify and resolve equipment issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proficient in working with AC/DC motors and related electrical systems.
- Strong ability to diagnose and repair various types of equipment.
- Experience with PLC repairs and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of and commitment to safe work practices and safety regulations.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in electrical or mechanical maintenance preferred.
- Previous experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role is highly desirable.
