Hutsonville Community Unit School District 1
Job Summary:Hutsonville CUSD 1 is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious individual to join our transportation team as a School Bus Driver. The ideal candidate will ensure the safe and timely transportation of students to and from school, field trips, and extracurricular activities while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
Responsibilities:- Safely operate a school bus on assigned routes.
- Follow all traffic laws and district policies.
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the bus.
- Maintain order and enforce safety rules among students.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
- Report any incidents, delays, or mechanical issues promptly.
- Must have a valid CDL with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements (or be willing to obtain).
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong commitment to student safety and well-being.
- Excellent driving record.
- Ability to interact professionally with students, parents, and staff.
- Starting salary $18/hr.
- Paid training for CDL certification if needed.
