This is a full‑time, on‑site role for a Terminal Ramp Monitor located in the Greater Chicago Area. The individual in this role is responsible for coordinating and assisting during irregular operations, monitoring day‑to‑day operations across airport‑wide Common Use premises, overseeing ticket counters, bag makeup assignments, baggage claim assignments, and recheck counter assignments on Common Use premises. Additionally, they monitor hold room and gate operations on Common Use devices, as well as the F.I.S. operation related to passenger processing.
Collaboration with Tower staff for overall Common Use operation coordination is a key aspect. The role involves monitoring and assessing Common Use operational performances, generating daily operation reports, and performing other related tasks and duties as assigned.
- Coordinates and assists during irregular operations.

- Monitors F.I.S. operation related to passenger processing.
- Coordinates with Tower staff on overall Common Use operation.
- Monitors Common Use operational performances.
- Generates daily operation reports.
- Performs other related tasks and duties as assigned.
- Must have the ability to successfully obtain and keep a basic yellow driving strip for O'Hare Airport, drive on the airfield, and maintain a clean driving record.
- Experience in airport and terminal operations, with familiarity in regulatory compliance and aviation industry standards.
- Strong problem‑solving abilities and decision‑making skills, particularly in high‑pressure or crisis situations.
- Effective communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with different stakeholders.
- Experience in monitoring operations, reporting incidents, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Knowledge of IATA standards, airline scheduling, and operational procedures. Background in airport coordination is a plus.
- Ability to work on‑site in a dynamic airport environment located in the Greater Chicago Area.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in aviation management or a related field is beneficial.
