Hiring Forklift Operator With Pay Up To $20/hour In New Lenox, IL

Responsibilities:

• Operate a sit-down propane quad forklift to transport and move materials safely.
• Pick customer orders, including items stored at higher rack locations.
• Stack and organize orders on pallets for shipment.
• Lift and handle boxes of steel pipe fittings weighing up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Wrap pallets securely to ensure safe transportation.
• Stage completed orders for outgoing trucks.
• Load trucks accurately with completed pallets.
• Change propane tanks on forklifts as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1+ year of sit-down propane forklift experience.
• Prior experience with RF scanners.
• At least 1+ year of order picking experience in a warehouse setting.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) on a regular basis.
• Comfortable working at heights when picking orders from elevated locations.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to meet productivity expectations.

Pay & Shift:

• Starting Pay: $18.00/hour
• Increase to $19.00/hour after 30 days (based on performance and attendance)
• Increase to $20.00/hour after 60 days (based on performance and attendance)
• Monthly bonus opportunity equivalent to approximately an additional $1.80/hour based on performance
• Shift: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Overtime:
• May be required to stay until 5:00 PM to complete orders
• Optional early start as early as 5:00 AM for additional overtime
• Occasional Saturday overtime during peak season (summer and fall)
