Duties and Responsibilities: The Circulation Coordinator plans, organizes, and coordinates the activities of the Circulation Division. Responsible for coordinating the daily operations of the Circulation Department, including scheduling support staff, staff training, coordination of collection maintenance, and the development, implementation, and maintenance of circulation procedures, policies, and practices. Coordinates daily circulation activities through the integrated library system, ensuring accurate processing of circulation transactions, maintenance of patron records, issuance of library cards, damage assessment, and related activities.
Prepares statistical and operational reports and maintains current procedural manuals and documentation. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree in Library Science from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited program.
Demonstrated proficiency with computers, library technology, and commonly used software applications. Excellent customer service skills, effective oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are essential. Bilingual skills are highly desirable.
