Position Description

Legrand is seeking a motivated and collaborative Buyer II to join our Data Center Power and Control Team in New London, CT. This role plays a key part in ensuring material availability, supporting our operations, and contributing to a workplace grounded in inclusion, innovation, and continuous improvement.

What You Will Do
  • Manage purchase order pricing aligned to negotiated terms, and proactively identify variances.
  • Evaluate daily purchasing requisitions, ensuring reorder points align with demand and lead times.
  • Create and manage purchase orders to optimize inventory levels.
  • Run ATP reports weekly to identify priorities and expedite materials as needed.
  • Partner closely with customer service and warehouse teams to support timely deliveries.
  • Process drop‑ship orders and maintain accurate system updates.
  • Collaborate with Technical Support and Quality teams on component issues.
  • Maintain target service levels, stock turns, and accurate ERP/MRP data.
  • Prepare material forecasts using Anaplan and support strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Participate in process improvement and Lean/Kaizen initiatives.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred;
    Associate’s degree with relevant experience considered.
  • 2–4 years in purchasing or material planning, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • APICS/CPIM and Six Sigma experience are a plus.
  • Minimal travel required.
