Railroad Construction Company, Inc. is seeking an experienced and driven Superintendent to lead field operations across the New England region. Responsibilities- Enforce company and OSHA safety policies and develop site-specific HASPs.
- Lead field operations to ensure safety, quality, and productivity.
- Collaborate with project teams on schedules, work plans, and resource needs.
- Coordinate and supervise crews, forepersons, and daily activities.
- Communicate with owners, agencies, inspectors, and union representatives.
- Manage materials, equipment, and labor to meet project goals.i>
- Monitor production, costs, and progress to ensure efficiency and compliance.
- Attend project meetings and provide technical guidance.
- Support training and development of field personnel.
To be considered, preferred applicants should present the following:
- Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
- 5+ years supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of MPT/WZTC standards and CTDOT, MASSDOT, MBTA or AMTRAK specs.
- Able to read blueprints, track costs, and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.
- 7+ years of heavy civil experience (bridges, foundations, structures).
- Proficient in concrete formwork, sheeting, piling, shoring, and utilities.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
- Willing to travel within the New England region.
