Reports To:

Principal, Director, or Designee

Job Goal:

To support students in achieving academic, social, and emotional growth by providing individualized instruction and accommodations, helping them develop into mature, capable, and responsible citizens.

Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs

* Provide direct instruction in a resource room setting

* Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families

* Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records

* Adapt curriculum and materials to ensure accessibility

* Supervise and support assigned aides and volunteers

* Participate in PPT meetings and contribute to the development of student plans

* Perform other duties as assigned by administration

Qualifications (Required):

* Valid Connecticut certification in one or more of the following areas:

* 065 - Comprehensive Special Education, K-12

* 165 - Comprehensive Special Education, Birth-Grade 3

* 265 - Comprehensive Special Education, Grades 1-6

Preferred Qualifications:

* Bilingual in English and Spanish

* Experience working with students with a range of learning needs in inclusive and specialized settings

Salary Range:

Commensurate with professional experience and per the NLEA contract
