To teach CDP subjects on weekday/weekend schedule

• Create lesson plans and modify accordingly throughout the year.
• Read and stay abreast of current topics in education.
• Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans.
• Utilize curricula that reflect the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students served.
• Work with program coordinator to ensure initiatives are being met.
• Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
• Observe and evaluate student's performance.
• Manage student behavior in the classroom.
• Must hold a valid Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE) educator certificate with an endorsement in one or more of the following endorsement areas: 106
  • and English 015, Mathematics 029, History/Social Studies 026 or Science 034
• Prior experience working in an environment with adult learners

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Haitian Creole highly desirable.
