To Be Considered For This Position, Social Studies Instructors Must Posses An Active State Of Connecticut Teaching Certificate In One Of The Following Areas 026 (History & Social Studies) certification OR be Eligible for a State of Connecticut teaching certificate in subject area (includes ARC candidates). - Schedule:
first shift, full time (35 hours per week) Monday through Friday. - Location:
Ella T Grasso Technical High School, in Groton, CT. - Salary: VS01-VS02, derived from the State Vocational Federation of Teachers.
- Academic Calendar: CTECS follows a ten-month academic calendar (188 days per year).
A CTECS Social Studies Instructor is responsible planning and delivering effective, differentiated instruction that meets the needs of all students, including implementing IEP and 504 accommodations. Responsibilities include fostering a positive and well-managed classroom environment, engaging students through effective teaching and assessment practices, collaborating with colleagues and families, and maintaining professionalism through ongoing reflection, professional development, policy compliance, confidentiality, and student safety.
