SHIPYARD RIGGER/OUTSIDE MACHINIST
Thames Shipyard and Repair is looking for a reliable, hard working shipyard rigger/outside machinist to work at one of the largest commercial ship repair facilities between New York and Boston. Willing to train the right person. Medical and Dental benefits available, 2 weeks vacation, 401K, FULL TIME position.
Work Schedule:- Monday-Friday 6:30am-4:00pm
- Saturday 6:30am-12:00pm
- Overtime available Monday-Saturday
- Double time available Sunday
- Removing Shafts, Rudders and Bearings
- Working from scissor and boom lifts
- Working in confined spaces with limited access through eighteen inch hatch
- Climbing ladders
- Heavy lifting
- Pre-employment drug test
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Willing and able to work outside year round and in all weather conditions
