Communication, Compassion, Dignity, Empathy, Integrity, Pride, Respect, and Responsiveness.

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a vital role in delivering compassionate, hands‑on care to residents in a long‑term care or skilled nursing facility. CNAs assist with daily living activities, support residents’ physical and emotional well‑being, and work collaboratively with nursing staff to ensure a safe, respectful, and dignified care environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
  • Measure and record vital signs, intake/output, weight, and other health data as directed.
  • Answer call lights promptly and attend to resident needs in a timely, respectful manner.
  • Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and repositioning to prevent pressure injuries.
  • Observe and report any changes in the resident's condition, mood, or behavior to the nurse on duty.
  • Support residents with meal service, hydration, and nutritional needs.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of resident rooms and common areas.
  • Foster positive, supportive relationships with residents, families, and team members.
  • Follow infection control protocols, safety procedures, and facility policies at all times.
  • Participate in shift reports, training, and team meetings as required.
Qualifications
  • Current Connecticut CNA certification in good standing.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in long‑term care, skilled nursing, or hospital setting (preferred, not required).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate, patient‑centered approach.
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and remain calm in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering high‑quality resident care.

Join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need compassionate care every day!
