Harbor Village Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking CNA Professionals, both full-time, and part-time. At Harbor Village, we strive each day to exceed our customers’ expectations while promoting our core values:

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a vital role in delivering compassionate, hands-on care to residents in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility. CNAs assist with daily living activities, support residents’ physical and emotional well-being, and work collaboratively with nursing staff to ensure a safe, respectful, and dignified care environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.

  • Measure and record vital signs, intake/output, weight, and other health data as directed..

  • Answer call lights promptly and attend to resident needs in a timely, respectful manner.

  • Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and repositioning to prevent pressure injuries.

  • Observe and report any changes in the resident's condition, mood, or behavior to the nurse on duty.

  • Support residents with meal service, hydration, and nutritional needs.

  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of resident rooms and common areas.

  • Foster positive, supportive relationships with residents, families, and team members.

  • Follow infection control protocols, safety procedures, and facility policies at all times.

  • Participate in shift reports, training, and team meetings as required.

Qualifications

  • Current Connecticut CNA certification in good standing.

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or hospital setting (preferred, not required).

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate, patient-centered approach.

  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.

  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering high-quality resident care.
