Substance Abuse Clinic RN

Our client is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide services at a substance abuse clinic in the New London, CT area.

• Provide triage services by evaluating medical and psychiatric status based on admission criteria.
• Determine the level of withdrawal management required.
• Administer and monitor individuals' medical needs in accordance with orders by prescribing physicians.
• Order, transcribe, and reconcile medications per MD order as needed.
• Communicate with pharmacy as required.
• Maintain ongoing relationships with other health care providers to ensure consistency of prescribed treatment procedures and techniques.
• Maintain medical records and oversee comprehensive documentation.

• Active CT RN certification.
• Experience working with adults who have challenges with substance abuse.
• Ability to complete and pass FBI, Child Abuse (ACT 126), and Criminal background checks.
• Must be able to produce current medical/health documents including: physical examination, Tuberculosis/TB Skin Test, CPR, and First Aid certificates.
