Position: LPN - CMA - Clinic Assistant - TC at Work

Job Description

The Clinic Assistant provides patient‑centered, evidence‑based care across the continuum, supporting physicians, advanced practice clinicians, RN, or nurse leaders. The role collaborates with the interprofessional team to meet patient needs and improve care quality.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 7:00AM – 5:00PM (variable). No weekends, no holidays.

Key Accountabilities
  • Perform delegated tasks using evidence‑based practice to collect data on patients’ physical condition and nursing needs.
  • Assist with implementing the plan of care and meet patient needs in collaboration with the care team.
  • Demonstrate clinical expertise in the assigned specialty and perform all functions of a licensed practical nurse that are age appropriate, developmentally sensitive, and culturally specific.
  • Identify ways to improve patient experience, streamline care processes, and lower costs while promoting quality.
  • Contribute to a professional environment that encourages mentoring, engagement, and development.
  • Maintain positive relationships with physicians and other team members, collaborating to problem‑solve and improve patient care.
  • Proactively manage risk to prevent crises and perform skillfully in life‑threatening emergencies.
Qualifications
  • LPN:
    Current Wisconsin LPN licensure, American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • CMA:
    Valid certification through AAMA, AMT, NHA, NCCT, or Wisconsin LPN license, plus BLS.
  • Clinic Assistant:
    High School diploma or GED preferred; must be 18 years of age. Graduate of a medical assistant program (preferred). One year experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician (preferred). BLS required.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, pulling). Lift up to 50lbs without assistance.
  • Exposed to blood‑borne pathogens while performing duties.
Work Environment
  • Frequent exposure to sharp objects and instruments.
  • Occasional exposure to mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, electrical shock.
  • Occasional high noise level.
  • Extended periods of standing or walking; transporting patients and equipment.
  • Possible exposure to communicable diseases, hazardous materials, pharmacological agents, aggressive or combative patients.
Location & Compensation

New London, Wisconsin. Scheduled weekly hours: 36. Scheduled FTE: 0.9. Overtime exempt:
