About This Role
The Registered Nurse in the 5.4 Cardiac Med/Surg unit at Yale New Haven Health is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. This role is ideal for nurses who are dedicated to providing high-quality care and are capable of supervising non-RN personnel.
Highlights- Location:
New London, CT
- Assess patients' physical and psychosocial conditions continuously.
- Develop, communicate, and document individualized care plans.
- Implement and coordinate care plans with the healthcare team.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and revise as needed.
- Plan and provide education based on patients' and families' learning needs.
- Function as a preceptor to new staff.
- Serve as a charge nurse when required.
- Ensure smooth operation of the department/unit.
- Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred. - Licenses &
Certifications:
Valid State of Connecticut Registered Nurse License; BLS certification required.
