Reports to: School Nurse/Supervisor of School Nursing/Executive Director of Student and Family Services
Salary: Starting at $24.00 per hour

Position Overview: Provides supportive paraprofessional and clerical duties related to the school program, under the supervision of the School Nurse or Supervisor of School Nursing.
Typical Duties And Responsibilities
- Schedule, perform, or assist in completion of vision and hearing screenings. Assist in scoliosis screenings.
- Accurately maintain, review, record, file and update school health records and use of computer management.
- Maintain health room supplies, inventory, and equipment. Maintain organization and cleanliness of health room.
- Document daily activities and statistics.
- Notify parents of students regarding absence, illness, or injury.
- Consult with school nurse or Supervisor of School Nursing for instruction and clarification of responsibilities.
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Satisfactory completion of CPR, AED, and First Aid and biennial recertification
- Ability to read, write, follow directions, maintain basic records, and accurately document student health information.
- Strong communication and basic computer skills to effectively interact with students, families, and school staff.
- Ability to perform medium to heavy physical work, including prolonged standing and walking, frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 70 pounds, with adequate vision and hearing to safely perform assigned duties.
Preferred Requirements
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Haitian Creole highly desirable.
