We are seeking a skilled Multimodality Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in various imaging modalities, including MRI, CT, X-ray, and ultrasound, and possess a solid understanding of medical terminology and anatomy. This role is critical in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to support patient care and treatment decisions.
Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using multiple modalities such as MRI, CT, X-ray, PET scans, DEXA scans, mammography, sonography, and nuclear medicine.
- Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques and safety protocols during imaging procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess patient needs and provide accurate imaging results.
- Maintain accurate patient records within EMR systems like Epic, ensuring compliance with medical documentation standards.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Conduct routine maintenance on imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met.
- Stay updated on advancements in medical imaging technology and techniques to enhance service delivery.
- Certification as a Radiologic Technologist or equivalent in relevant modalities (MRI, CT, X-ray).
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and diagnostic radiology principles.
- Previous hospital experience is preferred; familiarity with various imaging technologies is essential.
- Proficiency in using EMR systems; experience with Epic is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare team members effectively.
- Commitment to continuous professional development in the field of medical imaging.
- You have 2 years or more of experience working with CT scans or X-rays.
- You must be able to take the lead in a team when needed; some supervisory experience is required.
- You must have a current ARRT certification for CT and Radiography.
- Experience as a traveling medical professional is preferred.
- For temporary NH licensure, you must already hold an equivalent state license.
- Traveling candidates must have their own vehicle.
- ARRT certification.
- BLS (AHA) certification.
- New Hampshire License for Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.
- License from New Hampshire.
