American Traveler is seeking a Stepdown/PCU RN for a night shift position requiring charge experience and current Medical-Surgical background.

• Work in the Med Surg unit of a Critical Access Hospital
• Patient ratio of up to 6:1, supported by 2 LNAs, a Nurse Lead, and a House Supervisor
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:30 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required, with holidays as needed
• No on-call requirements
• EMR:
  Epic

• Active NH RN license or Compact required
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
• Minimum 3+ years of current Medical-Surgical experience required
• Minimum 2+ years of PCU/Stepdown experience required
• Charge nurse experience required
• Epic EMR experience highly preferred
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Must have a valid permanent address and personal vehicle
• Skills checklists for Medical Surgical and Stepdown/PCU (current within 1 year) required for consideration
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required for consideration

• Integrate collaborative care planning for individual patients and implement nursing standards in the processes of care
• Must work two full holiday blocks if scheduled:
  Thanksgiving Day through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and the following weekend
• No more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted, and all time-off requests must be finalized prior to submission
• Local candidates are not eligible for this position
• Block scheduling and 48-hour guaranteed schedules are not available for this assignment
