The Methods/Production Planner supports custom apparatus manufacturing by maintaining ERP and FAST configuration data, coordinating and scheduling various tasks, and helping translate engineering designs into efficient shop floor execution. You will play a vital role in aligning our digital workflow with the physical production on the floor.
Duties and Responsibilities- Maintain accurate BOMs, pricing, part numbers, and product configuration data in ERP and FAST systems.
- Create and update BOMs for custom truck configurations, options, and new products.
- Track project progress and update SharePoint and ERP records to support real-time communication.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, production, and management to support efficient workflow and on-time delivery.
- Maintain supporting documentation and provide project status updates as needed.
- Serve as the liaison between sales and operations for new product development and product changes.
- Organize BOMs in accordance with production routes and perform on-site work center evaluations to verify route feasibility.
- Assist cross-functional teams in resolving product, pricing, and specification-related issues.
- Experience with manufacturing processes, product configuration, BOM management, or documentation control preferred.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, planning, and deadline management.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively across departments.
- Positive, collaborative approach in a manufacturing environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent and manufacturing experience required.
- Associate’s degree in business, Manufacturing Technology, or related field preferred.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
