Clerical - General Supervisor
Perform secretarial, clerical and related duties requiring the application of District and department policies and procedures in a timely and accurate manner. Essential duties and responsibilities include articulating and implementing District and department missions and goals, complying with District rules, procedures, administrative directives and state statutes, working cooperatively and maintaining professional relationships with colleagues, performing responsibilities in communication procedures involving telephone, e-mail, facsimile, written messages, composing written correspondence and copying, performing assigned duties in a positive, productive manner, successfully completing assigned duties without direct supervision, performing office tasks including typing, filing, copying, collating materials, proofreading, and opening/date stamping mail, maintaining files, lists, schedules, calendars, and other data, greeting visitors in a courteous manner, determining and assisting with their needs, completing tasks relating to in and out of District correspondence for the immediate supervisor, preparing purchase orders when assigned, with no purchases made prior to the purchase order approval, completing job assignments accurately within the timeframe allowed, assisting with other departments when time allows, completing and complying with all required trainings annually, complying with all Board of Education policies, administrative regulations, Public Education Department guidelines and local, state and federal laws, adhering to NM Code of Ethical Responsibility of the Education Profession (NMAC 6.60.9.8), supporting district and school efforts to keep CCSD safe and secure, and performing other job responsibilities as assigned.
Other duties as assigned, reasonably related to the scope of the position.
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED certificate, three years of clerical experience preferred, knowledge of Din language, culture and history preferred, fluency in English usage including grammar, spelling, speaking, and writing, advanced computer skills (word processing, database, spreadsheet applications, and various software-based programs), effective communication skills.
Physical/job requirements include standing, sitting, walking, lifting, carrying (up to 50 pounds), climbing, bending, reaching, kneeling, driving a vehicle, traveling long distances, writing, typing, word processing, reading, researching information, effective communication skills and the use of cleaning solutions. Safety and health include knowledge of universal hygiene precautions, pass drug test if required for position, completed and cleared background check, knowledge and compliance with district and school safety plans, equipment/materials relevant to job responsibilities.
Work environment includes various degrees of noise, temperature and air quality, work interruptions, flexibility, self-motivated, completion of job assignments without direct supervision, completion of applications and assignments within the time frames allowed, extended work hours may include weekends and evenings as required.
Term of employment: non-exempt.
