Senior Director of Acceptance (Caribbean & Central)
Senior Director of Acceptance will lead acceptance solutions for the Caribbean and Central markets. The role collaborates with Country Managers, Product, and Value Added Services teams to showcase Visa’s offerings to merchants, acquirers, payfac and other reseller partners, refine strategy, triage client needs, coordinate roadmaps, and share feedback on go‑to‑market efforts.
Key Functions- Partner with Regional and Global Acceptance Solutions leaders to set product vision for merchants, acquirers, payfac and reseller partners in Latin America, delivering solutions aligned with global go‑to‑market campaigns.
- Support and deliver regional product roadmaps to extend Visa’s relevance beyond core network assets, including:
- Structure solutions addressing regional acceptance challenges.
- Align region priorities with Global Acceptance Objectives and Key Results.
- Inform Global product leaders of local market changes, client feedback, and product requirements.
- Deliver best‑in‑class products and services that exceed client expectations.
- Build, execute, and monitor go‑to‑market motions, ensuring solutions are easy to sell, buy, and implement. This includes:
- Developing a GTM strategy based on local market needs, including new products, bundles, or campaigns.
- Collaborating with Country Managers, Account Executives, and Client Services to execute GTM.
- Structuring client implementations built on global guidance for seamless rollouts.
- Enabling Visa and partner sales channels.
- Informing pricing guidelines with market intelligence.
- Shaping regionally relevant sales narratives across client segments, aligned with product roadmaps.
- Architect client‑centric joint solutions covering build, implementation, and post‑launch optimization, such as:
- Supporting sales teams in understanding client business and technical needs.
- Linking acceptance solutions with other Visa products to maximize value.
- Collaborating with pre‑sales technical team to build effective demos.
- Supporting business case development for prioritization.
- Collecting and synthesizing client feedback for product requirements.
- Ensuring data integrity and compliance with Visa policies.
- Position is hybrid; office presence varies by manager’s decision.
12 years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 10 years with an advanced degree (MBA, JD, MD, PhD), or 5 years with a PhD.
Preferred Qualifications- 10–15 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 10 years with an advanced degree (MBA preferred).
- Deep understanding of payments industry, technical knowledge of client integration pain points, and proven B2B product commercialization record.
- Experience working with large, cross‑functional teams in matrixed, ambiguous, cross‑regional environments.
- Ability to build sustainable relationships with regulators, industry groups, and governments.
- Independent operation in complex environments with strong program/project management discipline.
- Skill in communicating the value of Visa’s solutions to varied audiences.
- Strategic, analytical, and fact‑based decision making to drive revenue.
- Strong written and verbal communication, influence across regions, and executive presentation ability.
- Track record of exceeding sales targets and customer satisfaction.
- Experience planning, managing, and closing complex sales efforts.
- Negotiation skills ensuring favorable terms and successful outcomes.
U.S. applicants only: $176,500 – $282,500 USD per year, plus potential sales incentive payments. Eligible for bonus and equity. Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, life insurance, paid time off, and wellness programs.
Work HoursVaries based on departmental needs.
Travel Requirements5–10% travel.
