Position Summary

The Field Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing the job site logistics process within commercial and industrial settings, including managing deliveries to and from job sites and data entry into the tool inventory system. The role may also oversee a team of up to 10 logistics professionals and handle site logistics operations. This is a safety‑sensitive position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective operations and customer service.
  • Coaches and trains onsite logistics teams, instilling best practices regarding onsite logistics and productivity.
  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with suppliers.
  • Establish priorities for a small crew across multiple areas of operations.
  • Works as a leader within the company’s supply chain to ensure all established practices are followed.
  • Provides material handling support to assigned areas of the site.
  • Assists projects with the execution of a project‑specific site logistics plan.
  • Coordinates with off‑site construction, warehousing, and outside suppliers to meet material and tooling requirements for a given project.
  • Supports remobilization of crews, allowing construction operation crews to continue providing value‑added installs.
  • Develops systems and procedures that maximize productivity and ensure safe execution of tasks.
  • Understands, plans, and executes on‑site requirements through meeting attendance, available drawings, and collaboration with other trades and onsite leadership.
  • Coordinates with project leadership to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, including off‑site construction usage, value‑added services, and onsite logistics.
  • Manages logistics KPIs and reports them to appropriate leaders.
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of logistics processes and Lean techniques.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective processes, completion of projects, and smooth operation of the department.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 8+ years of warehouse, supply chain, or logistics experience.
  • Experience in construction or a related field.
Travel Requirements

Demonstrated willingness to travel 0%–100% of the time to various locations across the U.S. in support of jobsite logistics operations.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing tools and general construction materials.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass a drug and background check.
  • Excellent leadership skills, including goal setting, employee motivation, strong decision‑making, problem solving, and strategic planning.
  • Effective communication skills – writing, speaking, and active listening.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: building trust, implementing process improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to read and interpret instructional manuals, worksite directions, and written instructions.
  • Experience in analyzing tool and material requests for delivery scheduling.
  • Knowledge of warehouse software and technology.
  • Excellent customer service orientation.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with inventory control practices and logistics.
  • Capacity to delegate tasks efficiently based on team strengths and weaknesses.
  • Ability to work in different weather conditions.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with leaders, direct reports, and others to facilitate open dialogue and trust.
Work Environment

The work environment may include indoor or outdoor settings with exposure to hot and cold temperatures, rain, heat, cold, snow, and other all‑weather elements. It may require work at extreme heights, in construction or restricted areas such as switch gear rooms, manholes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, and on slippery or uneven surfaces; use of ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, ditches, excavations, and multi‑story buildings.
