Job Title
Strategic Partner for Tax Affairs at Rolls-Royce Power Systems
Job DescriptionAs a strategic partner of the RRPS business area, you will ensure that tax matters are understood, opportunities are recognized and utilized, and risks are minimized. Your responsibilities include:
- Ensuring a high standard in tax-related contract clauses with customers and suppliers
- Designing group-internal contracts considering our transfer pricing principles
- Building and maintaining intensive relationships with executives across the company
- Collaborating with the M&A department to identify tax opportunities and minimize risks
- Participating in tax projects and process optimizations, and analyzing national and international tax optimization opportunities
- Determining and analyzing current and latent taxes and processing them in reporting
- Coordinating and supporting global tax departments in relation to customer or supplier contracts
- Creating and conducting training to ensure tax risks within the organization are understood and adequately addressed
- Collaborating closely with the governance and legal teams of Rolls Royce
- Point of contact for tax external and special audits, analyzing audit results, and accompanying legal recourse procedures
We are looking for:
- Successfully completed master's degree in finance or law with a focus on taxes
- In-depth knowledge of international contract law with a focus on international tax principles
- At least 10 years of experience with the "Big 4", in an international law firm, and/or as an in-house expert in international tax or legal matters
- Second state examination and/or qualification as a tax consultant
- Fluent German and good English skills in speech and writing
- Professional handling of MS Office; ideally experience with SAP
- Structured, independent, and forward-looking working style, coupled with motivation and great enjoyment in teamwork
- Sympathetic and collegial demeanor, analytical thinking, and initiative
- Strong communication skills and a pronounced ability to assert oneself
