Founders Associate — Events & Community (m/f/d)

You will own event management, content and operations for the launch week of our new product in Miami, working directly with both founders from day one. This fall, we are launching Steer Suite HQ: a full week with guests from the US and Europe. Planned events include Founder Day, Investor Day and Finance Day. We are hiring exactly one person for this role.

Who

We Are

Steer Suite makes companies AI-native.

Our digital office is called Steer Suite HQ: people and AI agents work on the same tasks there. We run our own company on it, and you will work right in the middle of it.

In Steer Suite Finance, every number is linked to the reason behind it: the event and the decision that caused it, connected directly to the source. This “why” question is what finance teams usually spend the most time on.

We also support companies throughout the entire journey, from initial assessment to the finished solution. A patent application for the technical core is currently pending with the DPMA.

Behind it are two founders:
Sakis Tabakis (Bochum, 16 years of digitalization and finance leadership experience, including at Schneider Electric and

E.ON) and Julian Rosen (Miami, 15 years at EY). They are supported by an advisory board with backgrounds at Apple, Google and Schneider Electric, as well as private equity.

What You’ll Do
  • Own social media and event content end-to-end; we only set the framework.
  • Operations: venues, hotels, flights, catering. You coordinate the logistics with us and support budgeting and invoicing. Nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Materials: everything guests see and hold in their hands, digital and printed.
  • Guests:
You keep guest communication moving, from invitation to follow-up. We manage the relationships with startups, finance decision‑makers and investors; you make sure no request goes unanswered.
  • Partners:
You stay on top of coordination with our launch partners; we manage the partnerships themselves.
Who You Are
  • Structured: lists, deadlines, follow-ups. Your system holds up even under pressure.
  • Self‑driven:
You do not wait for instructions and raise problems together with a proposed solution.
  • Language skills: business‑fluent German, English at C1 level, both written and on the phone.
  • Presence:
You come across confidently, including with guests who are used to being taken seriously, from startups to investors.
  • Tools: AI tools are part of your everyday workflow.

Nice to have, but not required: initial event or project ownership experience (including through a university initiative), social media execution skills, or a connection to the US. You do not need years of professional experience. What matters to us is that you work in a structured way and deliver quickly.

What You Get
  • Responsibility from day one, with direct access to both founders.
  • Miami:
You will be on‑site for the launch. We organize and cover travel and accommodation; we will coordinate entry requirements for launch week together with you in advance.
  • Network: investors, finance decision‑makers and founders from the US and Germany. In Miami, you will be in the room with them. Connections that otherwise take years to build.
  • Visibility:
The event content comes from you and will be published publicly, in front of both the German and US startup ecosystems.
  • Compensation:
We will share the specific salary range with you before the first interview.
  • Beyond that:
The role runs through November 2026. If it is a fit for both sides, we will discuss what comes after.
The setup
  • Working student: from 20 hours/week (approx. 50%), enrolled at a university, through November 2026.
  • Part‑time or full‑time: 20–40 hours/week (50–100%), through November 2026, for graduates and everyone else.

For both: start immediately. Remote from Germany, with occasional on‑site work in Bochum/Düsseldorf; we cover any travel expenses incurred.

Requirement:
You must be able to travel to the US for launch week in the fall. Launch week will be more intensive, and we will plan the time commitment in advance. For working students, we will coordinate hours around launch week individually with you and find a solution that fits your student status; the exact arrangement will be clarified before the contract is signed.

International profile based in Germany? Apply in English, this one is transatlantic anyway.
