Construction Manager/ Foreman, Site Manager, Heavy Equipment Operator

Superintendent/Foreman – Foundations
The Superintendent/Foreman manages daily site activities for Foundations projects, ensuring construction is completed in accordance with safety, design, budget, and schedule requirements.
Responsibilities- Communicate daily with General Superintendents regarding workforce and equipment needs.
- Coordinate with job site crews to meet project time schedules and workforce requirements.
- Schedule and monitor subcontractors to ensure work is completed per agreement.
- Maintain a safe working environment by identifying hazards and taking corrective action.
- Conduct daily Job Hazard Awareness meetings, daily stretching, and weekly Tool Box topics.
- Keep daily records including logs, equipment schedules, material schedules, and timecards.
- Manage field personnel fairly and equitably, addressing performance issues promptly.
- Participate in pre‑construction and project lifecycle meetings.
- Document safety issues, equipment damage, and workplace injuries per company policies.
- Inspect field work for quality compliance, reviewing materials and manufacturer drawings.
- Five years of experience overseeing crews installing deep foundation systems.
- Experience with piledriving, micropiles, caisson, and helical piles.
- Five+ years operating foundation/ground improvement equipment (drills, concrete pumps, batch plants).
- OSHA 30‑hour, HAZWOPER, Excavating Safety Training, Blueprint Training, CPR, First Aid certificates.
- Strong reading, analysis, and interpretation skills for policies, construction plans, and specifications.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, iPad, and iPhone.
- Excellent verbal and written communication with employees, clients, and associates.
- Mathematical proficiency (fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions).
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Union affiliation or willingness to join the union is required.
- Must pass a pre‑employment drug test and background check.
- Work 8–10 hour days, Monday‑Friday, with occasional weekends.
- 50% travel within the upper Midwest is required.
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record.
- Must be over 18 years of age.
- Perform manual work requiring extensive physical exertion and exposure to adverse weather.
- Lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- Prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, stretching, stooping, kneeling, talking, and hearing.
- Exposed to environmental conditions and construction site loud noises.
- Variable weather (rain, snow, wind, cold, heat) and terrain.
- Union based role; hourly rate varies by location and experience.
