Position Summary- UNM-Taos Film Digital Media Arts department is seeking a Production Assistant and Event Coordinator
- Sets up and breaks down film and media productions both on location and in the classroom/studio
- Assists with coordinating events and entertainment line-ups
- Attends FDMA meetings (time to be arranged based on schedule).
- Assemble and arrange gear as needed for demonstrations
- Assists with cameras, lights and microphones during film shoots
- Organizes all gear, charges batteries, label and store in locked cabinets
- Works with post-production editing, computers and hard drives to help deliver final projects
- Assist with recruitment efforts at local high schools and the Taos Pueblo.
- Ensures high standards of safety and cleanliness in all areas of production.
- Contribute to the team atmosphere
- Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications- Ability to lift and manipulate camera gear. Job requires carrying tripods, cases, bags and other essentials to location shooting sites.
- Enrolled in FDMA courses and working towards Associates Degree
- Good people skills and relationships with the diverse community including the Taos Pueblo.
- Experience with entertainment, event management production
