Technical-Navigator aka T-Nav, aka “Tech”

We are always looking for experienced theater techs that love our programming and want to make every show look and sound truly enchanting. We know that tech is a vital part of any production, and we love passionate techs who are eager to elevate everything that happens on the Dynasty Stage.

Do I love fancy buttons, levers, and knobs, and using them to manipulate lush colorscapes and crisp audio for staged performances? Does having access to a top of the line fog machine and bosses with a
* very* liberal stance on fog usage make me salivate? Does juggling dozens of tech cues and running a show in a fast-paced environment sound energizing to me? Am I a world class communicator and collaborator? Can I put on a genuine smile and “yes-and” the inevitably wild and last minute tech requests from artists and performers? Am I willing to put aside my ego and occasionally make what may feel like counter intuitive tech choices in the name of capturing a vibe?

Can I bring a spirit of improvisation and play to my job? Like, really? Do I have the patience and calmness to troubleshoot when the fancy buttons, levers, and knobs take an unexpected nap?
