Are you ready to lead dental services where your clinical skill makes a lasting impact and your guidance shapes a team's success?

Wexford Health Sources, Inc. is one of the nation’s largest correctional healthcare providers, delivering essential dental care to justice-involved individuals for over 30 years. Many of our patients are receiving their first experience with professional, compassionate oral health care—and it starts with you.

As the Dentist at our facility, you will serve as the clinical authority on all dental matters, providing high-quality oral health care and overseeing the dental department. In this dual leadership and treatment role, you will:

  • Provide a full range of general dentistry services—preventive, restorative, surgical, periodontal, endodontic, and prosthodontic—per facility policy
  • Oversee staff in cleanings, impressions for prosthetics, oral hygiene programs, and accurate recordkeeping
  • Perform and interpret radiographic examinations
  • Arrange appropriate referrals for procedures not performed on-site
  • Set treatment priorities and determine appropriateness of non-routine care
  • Document all examinations using applicable dental classification systems (e.g., APHA)
  • Maintain dental office security, including instrument, medication, and needle counts
  • Submit monthly dental department activity reports
  • Develop and update departmental policies and procedures
  • Participate in staff development and ensure compliance with facility standards

You’ll do more than treat dental issues.
You’ll provide care that restores function, prevents disease, and builds trust in the patient-provider relationship.

Partial Benefits
  • Performance check-ins with annual merit increase
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match
What You’ll Need
  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree
  • Active unrestricted Dental license in state of practice
  • Board certified or Board-eligible in Dentistry
  • Active DEA license required
  • Active CPR certification required
  • Minimum one (1) year practicing dentistry;
    Correctional experience preferred
  • Strong clinical, diagnostic, and procedural skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-demand environment while delivering compassionate care
