SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIES
Supervises students, instructional assistants, volunteers and student teachers when assigned.

- Bachelor Degree including 32 credit hours of vocational-technical training related to the occupational area OR
- Associates Degree plus two (2) years verified work experience related to the occupational area; OR
- Certificate plus three (3) years verified work experience related to the occupational area; OR
- High School Diploma/GED plus five (5) years verified work experience related to the occupational area.
Valid New Mexico Vocational Technical Teaching license
LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of administrators, staff and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
OTHERSKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory to instructional program; ability to plan and implement lessons based on division and school objectives and the needs and abilities of students to whom assigned. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers and parents; skill in oral and written communication. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.

The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud. Duties are performed indoors and occasionally outdoors.

Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior established by administrators and teachers.
Employs a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media, consistent with the physical limitations of the location provided and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved.
