Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity exists for a Special Education Teacher to support both high school and elementary students in a school located in Arroyo Seco, NM. This contract position runs from ASAP through the end of the school year, offering 37.5 hours per week. The role requires delivering specialized instruction tailored to the individual needs of students with disabilities, fostering their academic growth and personal development.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized and group instruction aligned with students IEP goals.
- Collaborate effectively with parents, students, and school staff through clear verbal and written communication.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to student performance and compliance requirements.
- Participate in professional development and utilize mentorship support to enhance teaching skills.
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid New Mexico Special Education teaching certification.
- Proven knowledge of special education practices appropriate for both elementary and high school levels.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
