Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students' social-emotional growth in a full-time, onsite role as a School Social Worker. Based near Sapello, NM, this position covers the upcoming academic year from August 6, 2026, through May 27, 2027. With a schedule designed for balance-work just four days a week, 37.5 hours in total-you'll work deeply with a focused group of students while partnering with two school sites.

Responsibilities you'll take on:

• Deliver direct social work services and behavioral interventions to individual students and small groups
• Promote social-emotional development and positive behavior aligned with student goals
• Attend IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive care
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Work in partnership with educators, families, and community providers to support student success
• Flexibly manage a caseload of approximately 25 students, adjusting as needs evolve throughout the year

Qualifications and background:

• Active New Mexico School Social Worker credentials are required
• Previous experience in a school-based setting is a strong advantage
