Student Intermediate Level You Can Do It, Mija Peer Mentor

UNM-Taos is seeking assistance with implementing a mentorship program for women and teens. Responsibilities may include:

• meeting with Mija Program staff for planning and training
• meeting one-on-one with fellow students for mentorship sessions
• assisting with ideas, logistics, planning and set-up for events
• co-hosting meetings with high school, college and community women

Preferred Qualifications

• Must be able to learn and follow program guidelines
• Ability to speak in front of a group for a short period of time
• Ability to use basic computer programs and applications
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures
• Experience working with youth and adults
• Interest in building mentorship and leadership skills

Work 8-10 hours/week, some evenings and Saturdays
