Elementary School Teacher Positions

Eagle Nest Elementary School is seeking candidates for the position of Elementary School Teacher with an emphasis in English/Language Arts for the 26-27 school year.

Cimarron Elementary School is seeking candidates for the position of Elementary School teacher for the 26-27 school year.

Requirements include:

• $150 (non-refundable) fee
• Initial application through NMPED Online Licensure Portal
• Official sealed transcripts reflecting completion of an Elementary bachelor's degree program from a regionally accredited college or university including:
• 30 semester hours in Elementary education course work to include student teaching
• 6 semester hours in teaching reading for those who first entered any college or university on or after August 1, 2001
• 24 semester hours in the teaching field, e.g., language arts, social studies, math, etc.
• Passage of the following PRAXIS exams:
• Principles of Learning and Teaching:

• Elementary

  Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment 5017
• Teaching Reading:
  Elementary 5205
• ** If you graduated and completed the portfolio for assessment from an NM ed prep program in 2024 or thereafter, you would only be required to pass Teaching Reading:
  Elementary 5205
• OR… Possess a valid certificate issued by the national board for professional teaching standards for the appropriate grade level and type.
• Register for background/fingerprints for "Teacher Licensure".
