Salary: $55,000 to $79,504 Per Year
Eagle Nest Elementary School is seeking candidates for the position of Elementary School Teacher with an emphasis in English/Language Arts for the 26-27 school year.
Requirements and
Qualifications:
- $150 (non-refundable) fee
- Initial Application via NMPED Online Licensure Portal
- Official sealed transcripts reflecting completion of an Elementary bachelor's degree program from a regionally accredited college or university, including:
- 30 semester hours in Elementary education coursework to include student teaching
- 6 semester hours in teaching reading for those who first entered any college or university on or after August 1, 2001
- 24 semester hours in the teaching field (e.g., language arts, social studies, math, etc.)
- Passage of the following PRAXIS exams:
- Principles of Learning and Teaching:
Grades K-6 (5622) - Elementary
Education:
Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment (5017) - Teaching Reading:
Elementary (5205)
- Principles of Learning and Teaching:
- If you graduated and completed the portfolio for assessment from an NM ed prep program in 2024 or thereafter, you would only be required to pass Teaching Reading:
Elementary (5205) - OR possess a valid certificate issued by the national board for professional teaching standards for the appropriate grade level and type
- Register for background/fingerprints for "Teacher Licensure"
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required
